Learn To Make a Pine Needle Basket - Instructor, Carol Cookson
Pine needle basket weaving is a Native American tradition. It has a history among several tribes in the United States. Join the fun of learning a new craft in two two-hour sessions. Once you learn this easy skill, you can get creative in size, shape, and design. Pine trees that produce the long needles needed are in our area. Just pick them up off the ground and you have what you need to keep busy all winter.
In session #1 you will be provided with what you need to make a small to medium size basket and learn the technique. In session #2 bring your basket and learn how to finish it off. Open to all with a limit of eight participants. $5 per person covers the materials needed to make a small to medium size basket.
Session #1, January 23, 2023, 1:00 - 3:00
Session #2, January 30, 2023, 1:00 - 3:00 (No additional fee. Participation in session #1 required to attend)
