North Star Village’s 2024 Aging Well Speaker Series

End of Life Planning

Friday, May 17, 2:00-3:30 p.m.

at Our Series Cohost, Daybreak Cohousing

2525 N Killingsworth St, Portland, OR 97217

Join Corey Kearsley and Katie Gurney from Prepare Your Affairs for an engaging session during which they will guide you through the four pillars of end-of-life preparation. For everyone: widowed, divorced, never married, still partnered or married, having a clear legal, financial, mental/emotional, and practical plan in place is crucial to offering peace of mind not only for yourself but also for your loved ones.

Whether you have plans in place and want to make sure you're not missing anything, or you've done nothing and don't know where to begin, don't miss this opportunity to learn how to prepare your affairs to create the legacy you want to leave behind.

Our speakers: Corey and Katie entered widowhood in 2016 after losing spouses to cancer. They met and connected in a widow/widower support group and later married. One of the principles they learned from their own experiences and those of others suffering from loss is that the more prepared the family is on a financial, legal, emotional, and practical level, the easier it is for the family to grieve in a more meaningful and healthy way. They created Prepare Your Affairs to share what they've learned and help other families.

Registration opens May 5 and pre-registration is required.
